3 Unique Mixes

Each groove comes with 3 vintage tape dipped mix/mic combinations for total flexibility. Option 1 is a tight, chunky feel, number 2 is fat, juicy analogue fuzz and option 3 is crisp, lofi and crushed. The drum kit is a beautiful vintage Gretsch and was mic’d up with everything Greenmount Studios could throw at it, including various rare broadcasting mics, ribbons, valves and an inverted NS-10 sub mic.

Flexible Drum Loops

The sample library covers tempos ranging from 90 to 170BPM and there is something in here for every style, be that Hip Hop, Disco, Drum & Bass, Funk, Soul, Pop, Rock, Breaks or Dubstep. You name it, it’s there! Download now, as 24 Bit Wav, Apple Loops, Acidized Wav or Rex2 Loops. One thing you can be completely sure of is that these vintage breaks are 100% royalty free, unlike those other cheeky so and so’s that have been doing the rounds.

After some time trying to use these, I've realised the drummers timing is not really up to scratch unfortunately, so despite my generally positive review below I have to say I don't recommend it. There are a few good moments but sifting for them can feel like torture. Reply

These drum breaks are definitely funky and very usable. Do they come close to the funkmasters of old? Not really but they are played well, the kit sounds rad and they're recorded with a definite vintage vibe. All up I think it's more inspired than the "Crunchy Drums breaks" pack. Each break comes in 3 forms - a full drum mix with vintage vibe but basically clean (“mic 1”), a fat overdriven version of the same thing (“mic 2”), and then a thinner more trashy overdriven version (“mic 3”).

    You get:
    20 breaks at 90bpm
    12 breaks at 100bpm
    40 samba/tribal breaks at 110bpm
10 disco breaks at 120 bpm
11 funky breaks at 120 bpm
43 breaks at 70bpm (labelled as 140 bpm)
47 breaks at 85bpm (labelled as 170 bpm)
    = 183 different breaks Reply
